Southfield Primary and Nursery School is located in the South Northamptonshire market town of Brackley.
We are within easy reach of the High Street and immediately adjacent to a local nature reserve and lake of which we make full use.
We benefit from having a sheltered position from the main road and this allows our outdoor play areas privacy and wonderful countryside views.
Our buildings provide us with plenty of space and opportunities. We have a purpose-built gym, a large hall with a full-sized stage, music room, 3 playgrounds and a playing field. There has been a school on our site since the 1920s and we feel that we are at the heart of the community.
We enjoy participating in local events such as the annual Pancake Race, District Carol Concert and the Brackley Carnival.

We believe that education is a partnership between home and school. Through working together we will ensure that your child is happy, secure, sees learning as a positive experience and receives the best possible education. Our aim is for all children, not only to achieve their full potential, but also to be confident and secure in their own belief in themselves. We pride ourselves on being a caring school where our children’s welfare is important as we believe that happy children enable success.
Southfield Primary is a two form entry school and we cater for children throughout the Primary age range (3-11). Education starts at Southfield within our Nursery and here we provide an exciting and relevant curriculum where play is the focus and learning occurs as a natural, yet planned, progression. We are the only maintained school in the area able to offer this continuity of education and we can offer full day provision from the age of three.
We have an enthusiastic and highly experienced staff as well as a brilliant location and interesting building. This means that as well as the traditional curriculum, we are able to provide specialist music teaching, lessons in French from Reception to Year 6, exciting learning experiences using the latest technology and a wide range of sporting activities both during and after school. Having a purpose-built gym as well as a music room, large hall with stage and many playground areas enables such opportunities. We are also proud to be fully involved in our local community.
