Another year, another successful Cross Country

Key Stage 1 Report

On Thursday afternoon at Brackley Junior School lots of children from our school joined children from other schools nearby to run fast around the field and have fun. It was.

It was really, really hot so we made sure we had sun-cream, sunhats and lots of water with us.

We won some medals for coming 1st, 2nd and 3rd in different races and some trophies for the team.

We had lots of fun, thank you for letting us take part, and thankyou to the teachers and all the parents that walked with us and cheered us on

 Lower Key Stage 2 Report

Year 3 and 4 were really proud to win the year 3 and 4 team competition and feel their hard work during the daily mile has paid off.

Bianca was ecstatic to be the first Southfield girl back in the girl’s race, and we had a number of boys in the top twenty.

Several children were chuffed to have bettered their position from last year and commented that they used Mrs Weir’s advice of start steady and focus on the person in front overtaking one person at a time rather than focusing on the finish line

Upper Key Stage 2 Report

It was really, really hot, year 5 and 6 arrived early and supported years 1 and 2 in their races, and then it was our turn.

Monty was our best boy coming 24th and Alex came in 41st. Then came the girl’s race where Caitlin went dizzy in the hat and had to drop out but Jamie came in 8th and Rhianna 12th.

We had a really good afternoon and are already looking forward to next year.

Alex, Charlie C, Heidi (UKS2)
