Have you ever wanted to get involved in voluntary work, be a bingo caller or quiz master or organise your own fundraising event with the help & support of like-minded people?
Perhaps you have lots of fresh fund-raising ideas or great charity experiences or have an eye for a purchasing a bargain. If yes! Then here’s your chance…
The Friends of Southfield School (FOSS) are a group of parents and teachers that work together as a team creating, planning and holding fundraising events for the benefit of the school and its pupils.
We do this because the funds we raise make a clear improvement to the school environment and augment the resources available for learning. This gives us a sense of satisfaction that comes with successful & enjoyable voluntary work. It also directly benefits our children or those of our friends.
Volunteering and charity work can also be of value in our general life experience and is definitely something that can enhance one’s CV.
FOSS needs help and support. We need YOU!
FOSS welcomes anyone, not only parents and teachers, but friends and grandparents or anyone wanting get involved in charitable fundraising. We are organised as a committee, with chairman, vice chairman, secretary & treasurer posts available each year. The FOSS AGM is held every September to coincide with the new school year.
Over the past years, with thanks to the support of the families connected to the school, FOSS has raised around £4000-5000 per year. We aim to maintain this level and make efforts to increase year on year.
We will always welcome help and support. So whether you would like to join the committee or simply be a recipient of our emails asking for assistance then please get in touch.
If you wish to find out more please contact the chairman at firstname.lastname@example.org
