Every Friday we have a celebration assembly where we celebrate the effort and achievement of a pupil from each class.
These assemblies have a theme so each week we might be celebrating Investigative Scientists, Expressive Artists or Energetic Sports Stars.
We invite families to come and celebrate too by sending home each Thursday notification of which pupils are being recognised the following day.
Our achievers receive a certificate and are mentioned in that week’s newsletter. We also take a photograph of the proud pupil and that picture is featured in the scrolling display on the screen in our school entrance.
We have many extra-curricular clubs available for pupils to join. Some are at lunchtime and some are after school. Some are run by school staff and some are offered by partner organisations – some are even run for pupils by pupil.
We aim to cover all areas of learning and interest. In the past year we have seen the following: story-telling, loom bands, imagination station, coding, gardening, tag-rugby, choir, art club, basketball, orchestra, Spanish, karate, hockey, archery … and many more!
A group of our pupils meet every term to discuss things that are important to them. Our school councillors are elected by their classmates (with Reception pupils being represented by additional Year 6 pupils).
